What is scaling and polishing?
It is Ultrasonic Cleaning of your teeth, both the visible part above the gums and just under the gums.
Scaling refers to the removal of plaque and calculus (the white or yellow hard deposits that accumulate on your teeth and is not removable by routine brushing). Plaque and calculus are the primary cause of gum disease which may lead to tooth loss.
